THANK GOODNESS we only travlled a few miles to get here, because boy oh boy, we would have been WELL p***ed off otherwise! It's a HUGE space full of hardly anything. What are they trying to acheive with this? There is no cohesion between exhibits, no vibe, no spirit, no staff ... Oh sure, there are old vehicles and buses (quite good that bit actually) and some paintings, and a mocked up bar, and something about a sports team and some more stuff about football. Did I mention the empty spaces? At the entrance was a temporary sign declaring "Free today" but underneath it, you could clearly see that they intend at some stage to charge £6 for adults and £4 for kids. If the current showing is anything to go by, there'll be a lot of arguing when people damand their money back! AVOID!!

Interesting insight into the Regency period and Jane Austen's life. Delightful gardens.
The house is not particularly atmospheric. Quite expensive for what it is.
