Advantages: Its free
Disadvantages: some of the exhibits can be quite boring ofr kids
The tronsport museum is free of charge for entry, and can be tied together as a day out weith the Kelvingrove Art Gallery which is located just over the road.
The transports museum is full of old style transportations devices and some up to date ones. There are large buses and old steam trains which you are able to go on and have a look about. There are two levels within the museum, the bootom level seems to be for the more land transportations and the bigger items. The second level is home to things like old fashioned bikes and boats.
The bottom floor IS HOME TO THE OLD FASHIONED HIGH SPEC CARS, THESE ARE VERY LUXURIOUS BUT these are only for looking at as I imagine the cost quite a lot.
The top floor is alot more fun for the kids as there is quite a lot interactive services and during school holidays they have people in taking small groups of children to different activited through the museum.
This a great day out when attached to the Kelvin grove art gallery you can make a full day out of it for free!!
Summary: great free day out!
