Here I am again reviewing an art collection; I do seem to be spending a lot of time around galleries and museums these days. A few years ago we decided to visit the National Gallery of Ireland as like so many things we had overlooked this treasure on our doorstep. The gallery is located in Merrion Square West and is free to the public although a donation of €3 is suggested. Opening hours are 9:30 to 5:30 with late opening on Thursday to 8:30. Sunday opening is 12:00 to 5:30 and the gallery is closed on Good Friday and 24, 25 and 26 of December. There are four wings that make up the gallery.
