Theatre Museum (London) ... in a country renowned for its theatre. It serves as a museum, library, archive and education resource. Established in 1987 in its current building the old Covent Garden Flower Market, it is the National Museum of Performing Arts and is a branch of the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The theatre museum is a rather small museum in Covent Garden. It definitely doesn't have the swanky glamour of the major museums in London. I'd say that this museum is really only for theatre lovers and it's probably ideally suited to theatre lovers with children. They often have childrens' events taking place, such as face painting and costume workshops. The museum is interesting to wander around. There are displays of theatre memorabilia from the past, a wall covered with autographs and handprints and there are often costumes on display.
