Wilberforce House Museum ... Wilberforce, known worldwide for his fight to abolish slavery, this 17th Century building retains many interesting features, such as the oak panelled banqueting room.

Newest Review: ... more of a formal display but the models and sounds gave it a different twist .Mind you I did have a giggle when walking through one day after a school party had just left I saw a very sad looking slave with a huge salad sandwich in his right hand . Kids eh . On the bad side lots of the original features had either been removed or hidden . Speaking to the curator though I realised not ... more

As part of the celebrations upon his birth the Wilberforce family decorated the ceiling in the main stairway with the family crest , a large eagle .
