Advantages: for tennis fans.

Disadvantages: only for tennis fans.

Now that Wimbledon has ended how about a visit to the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum

The museum is located in Wimbledon of course. It has so many things related to the history of tennis. Some of the exhibits date back at least 5 centuries.

In the museum you will find a cinema room, audio guides in various locations, touch screens to give you information about the site.

In here you can learn and see everything about the past of this fabulous game.

Apart from the days when championship is played in June-July when only members can access, it is open most of the year.

The pricing for the visit is

Museum
Adult £8.50
Concessions £7.50
Child £4.75

Museum & Tour
Adult £15.50
Concessions £13.75
Child £11.00
One other feature that I liked was the legendary John McEnroe coming to life and giving insider information about an 80's dressing room, his first time introduction to Jimmy Corners.

The tennis museum is a unique experience of the game. I suppose the visit will be more appreciated by die hard fans of tennis. Otherwise it becomes all too boring.

Getting there is easy. You can go by road, tube, trains or by buses. Parking could be a problem.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Summary: cheap price and interesting.
