Red Hot Chili Peppers: Live at Slane Castle was recorded in 2003, and features around 18 tracks from the U.S rockers. The live set mainly comprises songs from the 'Californication' and 'By the Way' albums - although there are some classics thrown into the mix, including Under the Bridge, and Give it Away. There is also an excellent, if easy-listening version of the Ramones' 'Havana Affair'. A simply fantastic DVD. In my opinion, the best live Red Hot Chili Peppers DVD on offer. Two areas of this performance at the legendary Slane Castle stand out against any other live music DVD i have witnesses. The camera techniques used (starting with 'By the Way') adds wonderfully to songs and also the improvisation. Over 9 albums, the set lists have varied wildly for this band but the highly skilled improvisations have not. They are simply stunning. With me being a chilli peppers fan my boyfriend bought me the DVD for my birthday. I had to watch it straight away and thought it was an excellent live performance. There is about an hour and a half of the show then half an hour of extras on the end, as it was a present i don't know how much he paid for it but i would of bought it myself.
