The sense of isolation and beauty allows you to be at one with yourself. Added to the scenery, unearthly vocals and unique instruments, Sigur Ros create a feeling of jealousy of how the Icelandic people are so lucky to live were they are. I bought this DVD for my boyfriend but it seems to have made its way into my collection! This is a beautifully put together DVD and you really get a feel for the band and the influences that shape their music. It follows the band on their tour of their home country but they end up playing on hillsides - it's very moving imagery to go with the very moving songs. It features 2 DVDs and it feels SO long (in a good way), but every song is beautiful and there are interviews between each song with the band which give you an insight to how the band feels, how they came up with the songs and all the things that influence them. If you're a fan of Sigur Ros, then please, I urge you to go buy it now. If you're not a fan, then listen to their music first and I GUARANTEE that you will want to buy this DVD to add to your ...
