Things have improved. 252 still play chart music, but they do now lean towards the remixes (the Don't Stop Moving remix by S Club 7 is excellent) and alterative versions which freshens up the station completely. Music radio stations should play music. The New Atlantic 252 does just that. And it does it well. I remember 252 from its early days. They used to play about five records in sequence all day, and every three weeks the records would change. It was great if you liked the songs, but when the charts were crap so was the staion. Things have improved. 252 still play chart music, but they do now lean towards the remixes (the Don't Stop Moving remix by S Club 7 is excellent) and alterative versions which freshens up the station completely. Atlantic 252 has long since been my favourite Radio Station. The reasons for it are simple. The DJ's are friendly, and you can talk to them easily, the songs are alwyas great and there are very interactiive on the web. Broadcasting from Ireland, the station can be heard throughout the mainland of the uk in daylight hours on 252khz on the long wave band. It can also be heard at night, but is susceptible to signal fade, especially in the south east of England. Current play list includes songs like Ian van Dahl, Destinys child, Artful Dodger, Fragma,D12. Basically playing anything with a dancy or RnB feel to it. Djs include Tony Wrighton, Matt Mckie, and the presenters in ...
