Breakfast With Wogan (Radio 2)

I usually only have time for Sara Cox’s show on Radio when, when it comes to breakfast-time shows, but every now and then I do listen to Terry Wogan’s show on Radio 2. Well, you know, Sara sometimes goes off on holiday, and sometimes the football/sports reports get too much for me, or the phone-in competitions, or the emphasis on whoever the latest teenybop craze is supposed to be (if anyone mentions Justin Timberlake, that’s it, my finger’s on the Radio 2 button straight away!). OK so he’s my alternative to Radio 1. That doesn’t mean I like his show. In fact it can make me really annoyed. The worst thing is the spoken bits ...

oh how i detest the early morning journey to work with my boyfriend, who i must say is twice my age. each and every morning i am forced to listen to this rubbish and drivel that comes out of that mans mouth. now dont get me wrong i apprecciate that the man has thousands of fans and does a lot of work for charity, but i really think he loves the sound of his own voice too much. i just wish he'd remember that not all his listeners are in their 40's or 50's and we want to hear music too, after all if you want to listen to talk isn't that what radio 4 is for?? ...
