Advantages: Great songs, DJ's

Disadvantages: Does not broadcast outside London

I listen to several Radio stations, and Capital FM is by far the best. It plays music for all types of people, from pop to dance to rock, and they have the greatest listening figures in the London area. The DJ's they have are among the best in the area, and Dr Fox, Chris Tarrant and Steve Penk are in my opinion the pick of the crop. I mainly listen to Tarrant before work and Foxy afterwards, and they both really brighten up my day, by their cherfulness while on air.

Chris Tarrant is one of the most well knwon DJ's and he has basically all the competitions on capital from the Birthday Bonanza to the give away holidays. i think it is these freebies that also attract people to listen to capital. He is just such a tease and keps them in suspense the whole time just like on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He also gets the balance right between talking to us and playing songs, and I like mostly 90% of the ones he plays. he makes my mornings better and makes me feel like getting up in the morning.

Steve Penk is most well reknown for his wind ups- I am sure we all remember his wind up on Tony Blair. He also plays the popular songs, but also has a Top Ten at Ten where he plays songs from earlier years. Lately his wind ups have become a bit poor, and I think in order to make more people listen he should think of some better ones. Also the scheduling of his show, when everyone is at work, does not really help.

Dr Fox is a legend when I get into the car, and he makes my journey down the A£ more bearable. He always plays some good tunes, and has quite a laugh with Caroline Ferraday which is quite amusing. He also does the Pepsi Chart from 4 on Sundays, and I always tune in, because he makes it so good.

Overall, I believe that Capital FM is the best radio station in the area and if you want cheering up in the morning listen to Chris Tarrant Monday to Friday.
