Advantages: Funny, pushes the boundaries. Lighthearted fun.

Disadvantages: Fails to play a lot of music and has had his fair share of controversy.

The Chris Moyles Show is aired on BBC Radio One every morning from 6.30. Admittedly, the Chris Moyles Show isn't for everyone. It seems to be one of those shows you either love or hate. For me, there's no better way to wake up in the morning than with the mad antics of Chris and his team. The Chris Moyles show features the host Chris Moyles (self proclaimed savior of Radio One), Producer Rachel Jones, Comedy Dave, Alen Hayden Jones, Dominic Byrne, Carrie Davies and Matt Fincham.

The show is a mix of music and talk, although, quite often, very little music is actually played - one of the reasons some people dislike the show. Before I started listening to the Chris Moyles show I could never have enjoyed a show that was mainly talk, but these guys are just so funny. Plus, they know how to push their luck but keep things within reason. Saying that, The Chris Moyles Show has had its fair share of complaints over the years, mainly due to the adult content of some of the shows in relation to his early morning time slot. Personally, that makes the show all the more lovable.

The show has featured some big stars over the years, some of these include Ben Stiller, 50 Cent, Noel Gallagher, Ozzy Osbourne, Joss Stone, David Beckham, Will Smith and Kiefer Sutherland. A long running gag in the show is for Chris to describe the hydraulic desk in the studio if they deem the guest to be less entertaining or boring.

The Chris Moyles podcast has also been available to download via iTunes since 2005, featuring highlights from the past 5 days of broadcasting. The podcast is regularly downloaded by around quarter of a million people each week.

Overall, The Chris Moyles show is a lighthearted way to start the day and, personally, it puts me in a good mood. Although, like I said, it's not for everyone. If you don't think the mad ramblings of Chris and his team is your thing, then stay away. I hope Chris keeps his morning slot on BBC Radio One for many more years to come; otherwise mornings just won't be the same :).

Summary: A great, lighthearted way to kick start your morning.

I agree with rosebud2001 on this one... he does tend to make it just to the fringes of acceptable at times, but he is, all in all, entertaining. Great review. xx

I do quite like him but sometimes he does need to learn to shut up.
