Many people dislike Chris Moyles, as becomes very apparent when you read the rest of the opinions here.
It is easy to see why.
He is loud-mouthed and offensive. He picks on everyone, including his own producer and even the Radio 1 newsreaders. However, I have yet to hear him utter one insult that was even close to being serious.
His entire show is tongue-in-cheek and that is why it is so popular. What can be better in the afternoon than listening to a truly funny man taking the mickey out of everyone and everything possible, and never actually causing offense.
If you are undecided about Chris Moyles, listen to his Saturday morning show. It is something of an introduction to the World of the Moyles - a slightly toned down version of his regular afternoon show.
If you dislike him, ask yourself why? I know very few people who claim to dislike him, and most of them just object to the way he seems to treat everyone. Try listening to the show again, and this time, try not to take life so seriously.
It's people like Chris Moyles who make it all that bit more bearable, and bring a smile to the masses. For that, at least, he should be appreciated...

- 18/06/01 He's certainy not veryone's cup of tea, and I must admit I used to always switch off radio 1 when he came on, but I must admit he does have his funny moments and I suppose he's even grown on me a bit! |
