Good for pop music (Essex FM)

Advantages: Plays songs from across the decades

Disadvantages: Lots of adverts

I have always listened to Essxe FM on and off since i was a child and have always found them to play a good range of pop music, new and old.

One thing that did always annoy me to listen to was all the adverts that they had on there - it seems as though every three songs you then get ten minutes of adverts which is qhy i always flick between channels.

They used to have good local news and traffic updates which were quite handy especially in rush hour.

Other than this i also found the presenters a bit annoying - i don't know why i just find that they babble on about meaningless stuff which i think is supposed to be funny but i have never enjoyed listening to it so i always switch over unless there is a song i like on there.

Recently they have changed to Heart FM - again this is a channel that i flick between with others. They play mainly pop music but a lot more older hits which is good sometimes but you won't hear and upcoming stars on here really and very little new music.

This means that there is no local news now which is a shame as this was one of the only good things about Essex FM. The only other thing is they have kept Martin and Su in the morning who i have never been able to stand listening to so now i listen to Radio one a lot lot more and only flick on Heart if there's a song on that i like! I'm not sure this was their best move and i'm sure they will lose listeners but perhaps it was done to save money in the current times.

Summary: OK to flick between channels
