Fox FM started broadcasting across the airwaves of Oxfordshire in September 1989 & was the first commercial radio station in the area. It provided a totally local radio station 24 hours a day, focuses on local news & issues as well as playing a great variety of music. However the glory days of Fox were numbered when it was taken over by the Capital radio group in 1998. If ever you wonder whether to tune into 102.6 Fox FM, think again, especially in the morning or evening during rush hour where there are several adverts between every song along with the chattering of the boring DJ's, in the end you only end up with just 3 or 4 songs every half hour- not good!! However late at night or during midday the tunes start to improve and you can end up with some decent listening and more intelligent DJ's who know what they're talking about instead of trying to make jokes that aren't funny.
