GLR Music Radio Station

GLR

Newest Review: ... to slot on any radio station, the Drive(l) time Show, presented by ex GLR man and breakfast presenter, Bill Overton and new sidekick (or fawning puppy), Sonia Deoul. Bill used to be fairly good on GLR. He had a good chemistry with Clare Macdonnel (qv) and at least he was allowed to play music. This show is a poor imitation of its predecessor which featured several presenters, the most frequently heard being George Edmonds, Paul Ging and Jules Botfield, who has a voice of pure honey and broadcast as if she was born to it. London Live continues to be the most popular stop on my car stereo - wahtever time of day you tune in, you get the best of news - local + national, opinions and even music! (do you think it's possible that I've fallen for their advertising hype!!!???) maybe, but nevertheless.....This is the station that makes me feel that I live in London, & it's my city, warts'n'all. From looking at London slang to sharing the culture of the wide variety of communities in the city, and promoting local venues & talents, not just the big names. There are excellent music shows - check out coldcut/ninja on monday nights and dubwise on Tuesdays. You may not want to ...
