FM 103 Horizon as it is known, is my favourite radio station, it is much better than Radio 1...
why?
because:
1. The DJs are local, and so talk about what is happening in the area, especially to do with what is happening up the local City Centre and surrounding areas.
2. They do not spend that much time nattering away, boring the pants off of the listeners.
3. The competitions! local radios tend to get more promotions, and I have won LOADS - I am not kidding neither! :)
4. Just because...
unfortuantley...
because it is a commercial radio station, there are lots of adverts, however, it is only about every 15 minutes or so, and they only last a few mins.
and - because it is a commercial station, they follow the same pattern.

The morning crew:
used to consist of the infamous "Trevor and Helen" - oh and cueball (a bald sidekick who went round in 'black thunder' the radios 4x4) then they got a better offer and went up to Coventry (or somewhere beginning with a C), but from next monday Trevor and cueball are back.
lunchtimes:
the all-request lunch with James - phone the station and request a song, from 12pm-2pm
afternoons:
varies - most times it is "Big Boy Ben" Glover - a bit up himself, but in a good way.
DEFAULTS:
these are the things that are broadcast to all the commercial stations owned by the radio company.
LATE NIGHT LOVE: with Graham Torington
hmm - this is ok, apart from the sleazy dj.
HOT 30: with Mel and Rob
great! all the songs you want to hear - you phone the station during the day and vote for your favourite song and get a password, then during the show, you can enter the competition with the password.
PEPSI CHART SHOW

5 = with Dr Fox - Neil Fox that is. Just a rundown of the top 40 every sunday 4pm-7pm.

- 11/02/01 thanks! :) those ads are REALLY annoying, but over the winter, they get rarer thankfully! Ben Glover looks a bit like one of my old schoolmates, but he is a small bloke... i know he calls himself BIG BOY - but is he really tall? :)
