Good local radio stations who are independant from the BBC are hard to find, most get taken over with popular music where as Imagine gives you the best of all worlds with live sport, phone in's, music and local advertisments (which can be a negative).

It's a friendly community service which is building up in a huge area. Stockport has 200,000+ people living in its borough and they are beginning to listen. The links in the community are improving and Stockport as a whole is doing well in its continual developement.

Jon Keighran is a local celebrity because of it and I hope they continue to grow because we will be the ones to benefit.

As requested, the music they play is popular music from the 80's 90's and current. They tend to play current pop music during most days.

There are several DJ's, in the morning you can listen to Paul and Faye whose show includes funny outlooks on the latest news and general. They are fun and bubbly and just what you need in the morning. There are numerous competitions during the week, they have given away cars for penny's and flights to majoy destinations.
