Premium Review Jo Whiley (Radio 1): R.I.P Jo Whiley In The Mornings (492 words)

Well as of today, Jo Whiley's radio one show in the mornings is no more. Fern Cotton has taken over from Jo after a long stint of over 10 years. I have listen to jo Whiley's show for many many years. I wouldn't say she is my favorite DJ on the radio but I do enjoy her show. Show like Chris Moyles and Scott Mills are more about the ...  Read the complete review

I find a lot of radio DJ's annoying and I'm always searching for a station that does not have any talkative DJ's, I like the ones that just get on and play the damn music rather than boring me with what they got up to the previous night or which rock star they rubbed shoulders with at the weekend. Unfortunately Jo Whiley is pretty bad ...  Read the complete review

The Jo Whiley show on Radio 1 is a bit hit and miss for me, I do occasionally listn to it when not at work and there are bits that I enjoy and some components of the show that I really do not like and annoy me. The show is on weekday mornings straight after the Chris Moyes show finishes and runs until lunchtime. Jo Whiley is ...  Read the complete review

Jo Whiley Radio 1 I wok in a barber shop so we have the radio on every day I start around half 9 every morning and catch the end of Chris Moyle's show but my favourite show starts at 10 and finishes at 12.45 just before my lunch and its Jo Whiley. It's on at a good time because people can catch parts of it in their lunch or morning ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jo Whiley (Radio 1): Good in small amuonts (175 words)

I find Jo Whileys show as something that is good to listen to however i find that it is only good in small doses. She does have quite a few decent guests which do lead on to some really good interviews to listen too. She has recently had guests like Billie Piper and Patsy Kensit but i do just feel that after a while of listening it is just ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review The BBC at it's finest (936 words)

I regularly listen to radio 1 in the mornings and at different times throughout the day, but some of the DJ's and their particular styles of show on Radio 1 are more memorable than others. In particular the Jo Whiley show. She has been a DJ on Radio 1 now since 1993. By 1997 she was a permanent fixture on the daytime shows but she has been in ...  Read the complete review

I’m old enough to remember a time before Joe Whiley and have particularly enjoyed her television appearances. Here she is again on BBC 1 radio (97 -99 Fm) between 10.00 hrs and 12.45 hrs Monday to Friday. THE SHOW THE MUSIC A laid back middle of the road sound a little more sophisticated than the young sound ...  Read the complete review

While Jo Whiley is not as inovative with her choice of music, she is still a welcome break at lunchtime before we suffer the one trick ponies that are Mark and Lard. The lunchtime social is the equivalent of Jamie Theakston's Sunday Lunch and comprises of songs, news, gossip and special guests. While we are not able to hear stuff ...  Read the complete review
