Advantages: The presenters are great with so much enthusiasm, There is never a dull moment

Disadvantages: I'm at school most of the day so I can't listen!!!!

Metro fm is wicked!!

Thats the basic point I have to get across in my op! Metro has everything from chart music to those songs that you just haven't heard for years and all of the presenters just have so much energy!

I'll give you the run-down on a typical weekday on Metro;

***6.00am - Brian Moore and the breakfast show***

How Brian and the rest of the gang on the breakfast show can be so alive at 6.00am I have no idea but they are! Brian is doing a competition at the mo to win £5000! They give away £5000 every day (as long as you answer the phone to them with the phrase that pays 'I'm black and white/ I'm red and white, now give me my cash Brian!') I've registered but they don't seem to be calling me! :(

***10.00am - Rick Shaw***

Rick is mad! The best thing for me about this show is that he has a top 10 at 10 every morning at the beginning of the show which is where he plays the top 10 from a certain month and year and listeners phone, email or text in to guess.

***2.00pm - Metro On Demand***

Every weekday from 2.00pm till 3.00pm, the DJs are kicked out and the listeners and the machines take over the airwaves. This is where listeners phone, email or text in to metro with their requests and non-stop music is played for an hour.

***3.00pm - Marc Henry***

From 3.00pm Marc Henry hits the radio with music and fun as you make your way home from work. A feature of this show (which also appears on the breakfast show) is captain Marky Mark who patrols the sky in Metro fms helicopter Starburst 1 bringing accurate travel reports as things happen.

***7.00pm - Wayne***

Wayne has the show of the day that is the most poppy. It's full of chart music and interviews with bands as well as the more serious slot which is right after the top 7 @ 7 (the chart controlled by listeners votes) and is a teen problem slot where young people email the
ir problems to Wayne and he reads them out on air and asks for advice.

***10.00pm - Alan Robson***

Now for me, Alans show is just the creme de la creme! His show is a phone-in where the listeners really do run the show. From 10 till 11 is the Fast Track where all the calls are kept relatively short and and are often hilarious! People can phone in to talk about whatever they like and this does often end up with some pretty interesting topics (!) such as the man with 2 penises. REAL STORY!! :s After 11, the calls sometimes get more serious with listeners phoning in about major problems they have but Alan is great. He helps everyone and when he can't help he gives out phone numbers to organisations who can. I have had emails read out on the show but I have not phoned yet. I will one day tho!

***2.00am - Stuy***

Stuy takes us from Alans show to the morning with music and chat. It is so good to lie in bed thinking 'there are people who are working now!' Stuy also does the Hall of Fame show on a Sunday morning which is an entire show playing only music from days gone by.
