Advantages: Chris Moyles, Scot Mills etc...

Disadvantages: Sarah Cox, Edith Bowman

I was never a fan of Radio 1 back in the early 2000's and before, mainly because of their attitude to their listeners and the people that rung in who were taken the piss out of by the presenter. Now though I am an avid listener.

Overall Radio 1 is pretty rubbish, it is only really prime-time radio (early morning, late afternoon, evening and night) that is really any good, DJs such as: Chris Moyles, Scott Mills, Zane Lowe and Judge Joules. I can't stand the current daytime DJs such as Edith Bowman or Sarah Cox, they just do my head in. But the decent DJs make up for this and their shows are funny, they do still play the same new songs over and over which don't seem to be out for months so that when they do come out your sick and fed up with them. I do like the fact that they bring you lots of content from festivals in the summer if you are unfortunate enough not to be able to go. Also they do have some high profile guests on their shows which are good and unlike most interviews you see on TV etc... they do get them to do some funny things.

My overall assessment of Radio 1 is that as long as you listen when you go to work and when you come back again you shall be fine.

Summary: Overall not great but some really good DJs
