Tim Westwood, radio 1's official rap Aficionado, comes live to you every friday (11pm) and saturday (9pm) night.

Westwood takes a while to get used to, his voice kinda grates away at your patience and you can't wait for the next track to come on. What you can't deny though, is his choice of tracks for each show, playing fresh tracks, old tracks and classic tracks.

The show usually has a guest appearance as well, this week it was the 'MAN' they call Lil Bow Wow, he was livin' it up with Tim just getting on with it. When an experienced rapper is on the show like Dre or Eminem, Westwood usually initiates a freestyle rap session with the guest, you get to 'see' how they work and how good they are by their ability to pull of good rhymes on the spot, and you get to laugh as they leave Westwood for dead.

The show normally starts with the rap top ten, small mix intro's and a bit of bio on the artists, the show then moves on to a few tracks mixed in by Westwood, they don't always go as well as he'd like!, maybe a few tracks by the same artist running in succession, this week he played 4 Jay Z tracks and mixed them up a bit to make them sound dope.

If theres anything wrong with the show its the time, on a friday after a hard days work its fairly difficult to keep it real until like 2 in the morning, and Westwood ability to talk about nothing for ages.
