Disadvantages: website not 100% finished

Renegade FM was launched in the summer of 2002 whereby it took off with a bang. Leading up to the launch there was over a year of preparation to ensure that Renegade was not just another radio station covering the same areas and playing the same as the rest in the South East...

Renegade covers areas not considered by other underground radio stations, they decided to make the play list a complete underground mix, not concentrating on any one style or type of music. Over the course of a weekend, you will hear a great selection of music (some old skool, some upfront) from hardcore, D&B, garage to hip hop and R&B with even some really old dance/house anthems which represent where it all began.

Renegade is different because it is not there to make money. The Renegade team (DJ's MC's, show presenters, techs etc. over 50 strong) do it for the love of the music and will do anything to keep the underground scene alive. Because of the heavy media coverage with pop music on television and commercial radio (like pop idol for instance), it's a terrible state of affairs whereby a manufactured band automatically gets a record deal without even an ounce of talent. Underground radio is an essential part of common society, giving people the option to hear real talent trying to do something different. Real talent - real music. Essex is probably a season behind what is happening in London and until now, the people of Essex have not really had a choice but to listen to what the big record labels are paying to promote on commercial stations.

Renegade plays what the people want. The feedback and response has been unbelievable, with a great sense of appreciation by the listeners. Renegade is home to some exceptional talent, some old, some young, many carrying a reputable name on the scene right now and many that will almost certainly be recognised for keeping the underground scene alive in Essex in years to come. Renegade not only takes pride in the
talent and the music, but also believes that good sound quality is always a must. The listener gets the satisfaction of being able to listen to a perfectly clear transmission, sounding 100% crisp all the time - no question - with consistent broadcasting. On a whole Renegade represents a no nonsense attitude that makes for a professional radio station.

Renegade broadcasts from 18:00 Friday afternoon to 2:00 Monday morning, giving the listener live broadcasts for the whole time (true 24 hours). There are many plans in the future, but they're not letting too much out of the bag (Guess you will just have to stay tuned to 107.4 to find out!). Don't forget for the only station with a professional approach to advertising in Essex, please call 07814 788 882. When listening, you will only encounter a professional, positive vibe. Essex has always been perceived as being very 'Sharon and Tracy', but along with truegarage.com and flyer knights, Renegade plans to bring Essex up to date with what is going on in the underground.

So get locked to the 1 0 7 . 4 FM

and dont forget to check the Jaybee n Barnsy show Fridays 10-12pm DnB thro n thro.
