Rock FMNewest Review: ... station would be nothing without the music and there is a good range of music played on Rock FM. You'd think by the name that the majority of the music was rock, but there isn't a great deal of rock music played. There is a mix of 80's, 90's and up to date music. The only thing that irritates me slightly is, unlike The Bay which promises you'll never hear the same song twice in one day ... more |

I'm not an avid music listener, but if I'm going to listen to the radio I will choose Rock FM. I've tried other stations; Radio 1, The Bay and Century, but always ended up back at Rock FM ~The Station~ The radio station is based in Preston, so its probably better known in the North West of England, but it is available online at rockfm.co.uk. As with all radio stations they have a variety of presenters throughout the day, and regular local news, national news and weather bulletins. In the morning and the evening they also have travel news. At the moment they are one of 19 radio stations which are raising money for 'Cash For ... Read the complete review

Hello! Well I have been off this site for a while now but I decided to get back into it. This review is about the station rockfm and is now owned by a group called bauer who own a lot and can pile a lot of money into the station. Which is the primary reason why its so popular. *-*-* The Presenters *-*-* Adam@Breakfast - Im sure if you have listened to rock that you have heard Adam you can catch him Monday to Friday, 6 - 10am with producer Ross and Gemma Dee, these are a group of people that like to have a laugh and do it well on air. People enjoy Adams Lancashire humour and it goes in well. Adam also does 'Adams Sunday Service' on Sundays and if ... Read the complete review

Waking up to this station every weekday morning at 7.00, I now found it even harder to get up each morning. It is the Adam @ Breakfast show on at this time every morning (Monday - Fridays: 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM, and Sunday - 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM), on which the humour of Adam Catterall and Gemma Dee creates a good start to the day. This radio station has been my preferred choice for as long as I can remember, playing a good range of music (not just rock) throughout the week. Most of that played revolves mainly around that week's top 40, although you do hear a lot of music being played which isn't in the charts. The only main problem I have with this ... 97.4 Rock FM is part of the EMAP radio group (the guys who make Heat, Smash Hits, The Box, The Hits etc), and broadcasts to Preston, Blackpool, Wigan, Warrington... practically all across Lancashire. The station is based in Preston, in a converted church in St. Pauls Square on the outskirts of the city centre. The station plays mainstream chart/rock/pop tracks 24/7/365, except for specialist shows, but is somewhat more than a typical "that was blah.. now here's blah" station as the DJs actually speak their opinions. DAILY SCHEDULE ============== The below is the normal weekday schedule Breakfast 6am - 10am : Dixie is ... Read the complete review

I have been a fan of Rock Fm for a few good years now, and think it is the by far the best Radio station in the North West. Rock Fm has it's own web site address which is brand new!(www.clickrockfm.com) the site lets you watch the radio show through the web cam and much more!. If you want to contact the station to put in a request the number is 01772 900974! I think the station caters for most ages, and has fabulous DJ's including Brian Moore -Breakfast show host, Glen Hunt - Who does the top 10 from years ago, Ian Roberts - who does the friday night and saturday night dance and more!. The station has loads of competitions for the listeners to ... Read the complete review
