Many times I have found myself in the car, listening to Scot FM, excitedly thinking, "I haven't heard this in ages!" before cranking up the volume. Just after my ill-advised choice to drive out of my in-laws' garage with the aerial still up I lost the ability to get medium wave stations on my car radio. Stuck without my normal favourite choices (Virgin and Five Live) I would have to content myself with an FM station that I could hear within the West of Scotland. So what were the choices? Local favourite Clyde FM is your stereotypical independent station, much like any other and with a chart-influenced play list.
