Demon FM is the student radio station at De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester city campus. Demon FM won best student radio station in 2001 which was a brillant achievement for all those involved. I can assure anyone thinking of going to (or already at) DMU that if you want to get involved, then do and you will be rewarded - I have just come to the end of my 1st year here at DMU and I got involved with Demon FM as soon as there were notices up about meetings. Students nowadays have such a wide taste in music, one commercial radio station cannot meet their needs with the music that is played. This is where student radio comes into play. Many universities now have a radio station which broadcasts 'alternative' music.
