Virgin is my favourite radio station and has been for a good few years now as it actually plays the sort of music I like, its presenters are intelligent and witty and the adverts are not as irritating as on other stations. Crowned Review Like A Virgin (Radio) (1135 words)

There’s nothing quite like tuning into the radio in the morning is there? There’s so little effort required in just turning it on and tuning in to your favourite radio station. Personally, I like to try a number of different stations on different days so that I don’t get bored. Amongst my favourites for some time now is Virgin. Launched in 1993, Virgin Radio was yet another facet of the sprawling business empire of Richard Branson. Aimed at the baby boomers of the 1960’s, Virgin set out to capture the listening audience of a particular generation and the plan was to play pop and rock avoiding the more techno/lightweight tunes that scourge the charts. Premium Review Virgin Radio: Jezza's addictive Virgin Confessions (102 words)
by - written on 14/11/02 (Somewhat useful, 274 readings)
Rating:

Jezza's Virgin Confessions is definitely addictive, mainly because there I find there is nothing on TV to watch. It is informative, makes you smile, (especially Lucy's Box, where Lucy and the others ask a caller questions of a sexual nature), has good music, and gives you insight in to people's lives. The only annoying thing I find is that he has to plug other DJs shows, which frustrates me because I'm not interested. Also, I hate adverts, but, of course, realise that he has to do advert breaks. A great show, which should be listened to by all. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Jezza's Virgin Confessions (255 words)

Jezza's Virgin Confessions is a relatively new weekday evening show on the national radio station that is Virgin. The show has only been running for approximately 10 weeks, and I have been addicted from the start. Jezza and his team have created a new genre of agony aunt/uncle show, Jezza simply tells listeners how it is, does not mince his words and does not mislead listeners with regards to there problems. The show features listeners ringing Jezza and discussing their issues/problems with him, a majority of callers have problems relating to sex and relationships. Jezza's technique is to allow the caller to discribed their problem ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Virgin Radio: Pop your cherry! (630 words)

I work from home and enjoy listening to the radio during the day; I listen to Virgin Radio, there are several reasons why this is my station of choice. What type of radio station is it? Virgin Radio is a national, commercial, music station so there are those annoying ad breaks with those annoying ads. One good thing about being commercial is that it also runs lots of promotions and competitions if you can be bothered to enter them! I can only really comment on the station during the day as I tend to listen from 11am – 4pm and not in the evenings. They have a ‘no repeat’ workday where they promise not to play the same song twice ...  Read the complete review
