Advantages: Less annoying adverts.

Virgin is my favourite radio station and has been for a good few years now as it actually plays the sort of music I like, its presenters are intelligent and witty and the adverts are not as irritating as on other stations. I also like the way the competitions and promotions are presented and some of them are relevant to me. I do miss Pete and Geoff's show although I now love BBC Radio 2 since Pete defected there.


They have the right balance of old and new, so a bit of vintage Led Zep, mixed with the latest Kaiser Chiefs track with some Stone Roses, Paul McCartney and the like mixed in. You get a mix of the familiar and stuff that you're bound to like. I never yet had to turn over the channel due to boredom or the direness of a track with Virgin, whereas with other stations it happens all too often.

Summary: The best rock radio station.
