Candide - 1999 Royal National Theatre Recordings - Soundtrac ...

Rating:
This recording of Candide is definatelly the best one I've found! Bernsteins musical, originally from 1956, has a big score and needs good voices to come to it's right. Here, both the orchestra and the singers come through excelently, and the ensemble does a good jobb in the not entirely simply choral parts. The orchestra is exact, and executes the brilliant overture with lots of energy. The musical orignially premiered in New York 1956 with most notablly Barbara Cook in the cast. The show only ran for 73 performances, and suffered a simillarly short run in London a few years later (1959, 60 performances). Barbara Cook got her breakthrough with Glitter and be Gay, ...
Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason - Soundtrack

A couple of days ago I watched the movie ”Bridget Jones – The Edge of Reason” with a friend and the first comment we both made after the film had ended was “Wow the music was great!”. And since two of the hottest guys ever, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant, were in the film, the fact that we noticed the music says quite a lot about it. Therefore I immediately went out and bought the soundtrack the next morning (I’m not a fan of downloading music) and I’ve listened to it numerous times since then. When you buy this CD you get quite a mixed bag of music… 1. Your Love Is King - Young, Will 2. Stop - Jamelia 3. Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Minogue, Kylie 4. ...

actually the music used in it and as such I decided to buy the soundtrack after it came out. I love movie soundtrakcs becasue they feature a number of different Artists so you get a wide variety of different sounds which is great. Plus, this album includes some of the best artists in the world. Also, whenever I listen to it it always reminds me of different parts in the movie which I like. The album was released on November 19th 2004 on Geffen records and was produced by Nick Angel. The front cover features the same photo of the DVD, a picture of Bridget in the middle with Daniel on one side and Mark on the other. According to an article I read, Uncut magazine gave the ...
