‘These Wooden Idea’s’ was the first time that I had heard of Idlewild, and boy was I impressed. I’d heard it on Top of the Pops, and didn’t know who performed it, then I heard it again on the radio, and just had to go out and buy their album, which also impressed me very much.

100 Broken Windows is their second album, and it is one of my favourites. It has great songs such as ‘Little Discourage’, ‘These Wooden Idea’s’ and ‘Actually it’s Darkness’, and nine other top quality songs. I’ve had the album for about six months, and it still lives in my CD player, that is how good this album is.

The album varies from having upbeat rock songs, to the slow, more relaxing songs, basically there is a song on it for whatever mood you’re in, that is partly why it is a great album. It is good to see an album that doesn’t only heavy songs, or only have slow paced songs, which most bands tend to do have.

What I would say is, if you have a spare tenner lying around, and don’t know what to spend it on, this album is worth the gamble. And, also, if you are sick of you’re album collection and want a new one to bring something new, then buy this. What am I saying, but this NOW!
