Advantages: greenday at their rawest form

Disadvantages: not fully formed yet

1039 smoothed out slappy hours was the first major release by greenday, although in actual fact it was a bit of a compliation of recordings put together off many of their LP's.
It features the band in their rawest form, its great to hear and its easy to see what talent they had back then and how they fine tuned it into becoming the great band they are.

The first song is called at the library, it is a great song, the whole arrangment of the instruments, the singing and all the different sections the song has to offer are put together so well and it works as a great song.

Going to pasalacqua is another song I really like off the album, I think the versus are sung really well and the chorus is really nice to listen too as well. Its not the fastest song off the album but more than anything the lyrics are just great and the guitar that goes with them are even better.

1000 hours is another fantastic one, it starts off fairly slow but it does really get going throughout the song. Its sung very well and the drumming to this is really great as well.

This album was a great one from greenday, it doesn't contain their greatest songs ever, but its their first album, it was when they were still all very young and the fact they were coming up with great material even back then is pretty good, so I really enjoyed this album even listening to it after I had heard their more recent stuff.

Summary: greenday at their rawest form
