This was the album that shot Prince into the big time and into my heart all because of one of the century's most played songs ~ the excellent '1999', which is still as fresh as the day it was born. This album is truly brilliant and showed the first real signs that Prince was going to become a megastar, the CD goes from the funky 'Delirious' to the sophisticated 'Something In The Water' and of course everybody knows 'Little Red Corvette. 'Lady Cab Driver' is one of his most gorgeous of songs, makes me go all weak at the knees, phew! Prince shows a stunning display of raw talent in this album, not wallowing ...
