Two years ago, "You Don't Know Me" was a massive chart success for American based DJ, Armand Van Helden. With the vocal prowess of Duane Harden accompanying a catchy base line, the track shot from the clubs straight to chart success. Van Helden's only previous commercial breakthrough had come in the form of a remix of Tori Amos's "Professional Widow", which hit number 2 in the charts in 1996. Two months after "You Don't Know Me" was released, the album "2 Future 4 U" also hit the shops on FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recordings). The album consists of 9 tracks, each refreshingly different from each other ... Read the complete review

Armand Van Helden once quoted in a magazine that he could fart over a house beat and make it a smash hit. Fortunately he decided to do a little more grafting on 2Future4U, which will have buyers of the saccharine Flowerz and the slightly less sugary You Don't Know Me flocking on the basis that these two chart inserts possessed a singalong characteristic not posing as the new Stardust but upholding a similar element of toe-tapping. You don't know me. A track which every1 last year was "Daaaadaaaadaaaa da-da-da-daing" to in March 99. There were other singles though, which were equally if not better than u dont know me. Flowerz, is a superb track to chill to and one i would put in my chill out anthems list. Though there are only 9 tracks on the album, minus the pointless interludes, most of them are fairly good dance tracks to groove to. "Flowerz" and "You dont know me" are the pick of the pack though. I would recommend this to people, only if they dont already own either of the singles. ... Read the complete review

What is the deal with Arman van Helden then? I saw him play once and he was awful, so I expected that his album might not be that bad, as it's done in a studio, etc, etc....... But, the 2 good songs (flowers, you don't know me) are the only bits worth listening to! Most of it is just pure rubbish, and maybe you should listen to something else. It is such a shame as those two songs are just superb! I would recommend you buy a different album if you're considering this one, maybe Fat Boy Slim, or somthing.... Don't do it!!!!! ...
