Rush is one of the most famous rock band from Canada.
The Trio is formed by Geddy Lee(vocals and bass), Alex Lifeson(guitar) and the great Neil Peart on drums.
2112 is their most known album and was released in 1976, and it left many influences on the prog-metal scene such as Queenryche, Dream Theater and Symphony X.
The opener/titletrack "2112" is a 20 minute suite divided in 7 parts
I) Overture
II) The Temples Of Syrinx
III) Discovery
IV) Presentation
V) Oracle: The Dream
VI) Soliloquy
VII) Grand Finale
the lyrics were written completely by Neil Peart and speak about a the reign of Megadon, in the year 2112, where music is banished, but one young boy find and old dusty guitar and start playing it.
The other songs are "Passage to Bangkok", with a pretty oriental sound, the mistical "Twilight Zone", the contry style of "Lessons", the melodic "Tears" with the piano introduction and very angry "Something for Nothing" one of my favourite songs ever.
For those about the Rock Blackseiya Salutes You
