The album 22 Polish Punk Classics was released in 1992 on Sonic and is a collection of tunes from the previous decade. As the majority of punk had died down a bit in Western Europe and the US and peope were listening to more trendy new wave bands, punk got a good reception in Hungary, Poland and the former USSR in the early 80s. Recorded in poor studios, political rants sung with conviction and a sloppy but heavy sound ensure that plenty of top bands came out at this time even though much of it was underground and their records had to be sold illegally.
