2pacalypse NOW (2pacalypse Now - 2Pac)
Member Name: the pimp
Advantages: Great debut album Disadvantages: violent explitives
I originally heard this album from a mate, and didn't have enough money at the time to buy the album on my own, so instead, I was forced to listen to a pirate tape of it for a few months, which satisfied me for the time being. From the minute i heard the album I was a hooked Tupac fan. In this 1st release, 2Pacalypse Now, Tupac established himself as a great rapper and lyricist. The lyrics on this album are of a very raw style, and vulgarity is very common throughout, which is both a good and bad part of the album, depending on your viewpoint. Songs such as "Brenda's Got a Baby", "Violent", and "Young Black Male", help to show Tupac's frustrations and dilemmas, which come out through his music. I would definetely recommend this album to a friend, to anyone familiar with Tupac, DMX, or Slick Rick, and anyone interested in music in general. The only downside to the album is the often violent words expressed in the music, but since they are only depicting the life in which 2pac, we'll let it slide! Summary: |
