Advantages: songs by them you havnet heard yet

Disadvantages: none

45 or 46 songs that weren't good enough to go on our other records is perhaps quite a peculiar name for an album, however I guess you know what the album is at least, and it is exactly that. The album actually contains 46 songs and surprisingly most of them are rather good so I think the main reason why these didn't make other albums is due to the fact the band record and release so much material anyway that they have quite a lot of good songs still left over from their albums. So from a fans perspective this is a great double disk compilation album from the band.

The first song pimps and hookers gets the album off to a good start, it has a really nice bass line which runs through the rest of the song as well, the very sharp sounding guitar can get a bit annoying in parts and the song would probably be better if it wasn't there however the rest of the song and in particular the lyrics are great.

Track number 9 on the first album is a song I like I particular, its called the plan and is defiantly worthy of a place as a single on an album rather then just being loaded onto this compilation, as are a lot of these songs though. I think this song must have been recorded in the earlier days of the band, his voice rounds younger and more vulnerable which makes the song greater I think, the lyrics are also really good and the instruments carry the song perfectly, actually has to be one of my favourites by the band.

Three on speed has to be my favourite song off the second disk, is just a really great fast paced punk rock song by the band, perhaps recorded at a time they were not the most tuneful but probably writing their best songs. This is worthy of being a great song however it isn't that long, at only over 1 minute 18, its really short but still a great little track.
