collection. It s a mixture of styles, incorporating R&B, ska and reggae. So, now we ve got that out of the way, let s have a breakdown of everything R Roots Manuva has in store for us... 1. Intro - Roots Manuva A far too long, rap-type poem thing by Roots Manuva over a chilled out beat. Very poor start to the album as it sounds like Manuva has had a few too many beers before putting lips to the microphone. Skip it, it s awful. <1 out of 5> 2. Priceless - Deckwrecka & MCD This sounds like the kind of thing Roots Manuva was trying to do on the track up there. Competent rapping over a funky but relaxed tune. Not very memorable, but there are some nice lyrics ...

acts dont get the chance to prove themselves on a commercial level that there Garage or American friends do but that is no excuse to bore your fans!! R Roots Manuva thankfully stays clear of that. This is a very very good album. The beats are gritty underground and force your neck to jerk back and forth. The lyrics follow the same track with Mr. Manuvas dirty south London accent adding to the atmosphere. Unlike most of todays hip hop there is definately thought put into these ryhmes and for once they dont revolve around hoes, beer and dope(not that there is anything wrong with this things but they can get boring eventually). The standout tracks on this LP have to be ...
