The Libertines - Libertines ... Libertines second self titles album isn t bad considering the turmoil that the band were in at the time finishing the album without Pete Doherty. This album has some songs of the quality that was seen on the first album Up The Bracket and not much could surpass this. However this album also tends to let you down at times with poorly recorded and rushed out songs along with a booklet that had the wrong lyrics printed in it due to this album being rushed out before the band split up. The album starts well with Can t Stand Me Know which is one of the best songs on the album, it tends to document the breakup of the bands relationship and how they can no longer stand ... Rom 5:12 - Marduk ... their tenth full lenght album Rom 5:12 swedish black metal veterans Marduk continue their move away from earlier militaristic themes to the death-obsessed medieval aesthetic evident in their previous 2004 album Plague Angel . The songs are an entertaining mixture of fast tremelo-riffing and frequent sections of relentless mid-paced guitars, and its a very consistent listen, with engaging song-progression and lots of atmosphere, helped along by the rasped, half-gargled vocals of singer Mortuus. The production is quite big without being too clean, with the drums sitting quite prominently in the mix but the guitars still sounding powerful, and the songs tend to re... Elemental - Tears For Fears ... INTRODUCTION ~~~~~~~~~~~ Mention Tears for Fears (TFF) to most people and the songs that immediately come to mind are those from their Eighties heyday. In fact, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was the first song I ever saw as a video on MTV and still remains their signature tune. Combine that with the iconic "Mad World", and the staying power of "Shout" and "Head Over Heels" and you can understand why they are indelibly associated with the decade of big hair, shoulder pads and the New Wave.
