Vol.3: The Subliminal Verses - Slipknot ... singles. I found this album more melodic than the previous albums (i am a great fan of melodic stuff in the metal genre), With amazing Riff's, vocals this is by far the best slipknot album to date. There was a speical eddtion of this album which was released in 2005 with had a extra disk with songs not released on the main album. This album went Platinum on February 21, 2005! For anyone who has seen a slipknot video recently or just randomly picked up a interest in slipknot, i assure you, out of any of the albums this is the first one you should buy! One Day Remains - Alter Bridge ... for anyone listening to the band for perhaps the first time. Marks out of 10: 9.5 - One word; Amazing. Track 6: Broken Wings (5.07 minutes) 'Broken Wings' goes back to a similar formula that 'Burn It Down' had; a slower ballad that does grow into an epic rock song. Another fantastic guitar riff starts this one off and really sets the mood effectively. Marks out of 10: 9 - Perhaps put on a little too soon after 'Burn It Down' but brilliant in it's own right. Track 7: In Loving Memory (5.40 minutes) As you can probably guess from the tracks title, this is the bands dedication to a friend who died. Skull Ring - Iggy Pop ... think how old he was, when this album was made and to put so much energy and power into it is simply phenomenal. Every song on the album just bombs along with raw power! Superbabe (of which the chorus which changes each time is incredibly catchy), Motor Inn, Little Electric Chair and Nervous Exhaustion are just legendary anthems. This is probably Iggy's heaviest album ever and he pulls it off easily, some of the songs don't have the same effect live as on the album, they definitely did a good job on the recording of the songs. If you just want one Iggy Pop album, I would choose this or Raw Power everytime but this shouldn't undermine his other albums which are also grea...
