Quality - Talib Kweli ... is Brooklyn MC Talib Kweli s first solo attempt after being part of a duo either in form of Blackstar or Reflection Eternal. Now being a relativity new Hip-Hop act at the time, this solo album without the help of his producer Hi-Tek could have turned out quite bad. Wrong. This Is personally one of my top 5 albums of all time, hearing the lead single Get By was enough to convince me to purchase this CD but the funky feel of Waiting for the DJ sealed the deal. The album moves from a good introduction track of Rush all the way through the most appealing tracks until it slows back down for Talk to you . Come Away With Me - Norah Jones ... Jones is a truly phenomenal singer, songwriter, and musician. i have seen her play some of the tracks from this album live, and the piano music is just gorgeous. In addition to this everyone can relate to the lyrics on this record. Just a brilliant album to stick on as a chillout record, or even when you feeling down, as the music is so inspiring. The title track is sublime, but my favourite is dont look away. this song has a more upbeat nature to it in places and you will just want to stick it on repeat! Cold Cold heart is also a track fairly near the top of my most played list. Its so good the worst part is the end. it annoys me when it ends i want it to carry on.... In Between Dreams - Jack Johnson ... album is one of my favourite albums of all time. the lyrics in the songs are so good, and jack is an absolute genuis at the guitar. I tried to learn as i was so inspired by some if the songs on this record. I can listen to In between dreams on any occasion. Its best as a "chillout" record, but ive listened many times while driving, or just to cheer me up! once tried to stick it on for a bit of background music while having mates over, but they all loved it so much we just listened to it all night! anyone can relate to the lyrics and everyone should love the sounds.
