The Colour Of My Love - Celine Dion ... Celine is one of my all time favourite female singers. I rank her alongside Whitney as someone to respect vocally. Granted, she might have quite a long face, but shut your eyes and her voice will take you on a journey. This album has some of her biggest hits on it, I have handpicked a few to talk about. My first choice is Celine s take on The Power Of Love. She manages to do it justice, living up to the class and sophisication of the Jennifer Rush original. Celine really shows off her talents, striving for the high notes and pulling them off with aplomb. I could really feel her emotion in this song. I adore Misled which is a funkier edged number. The album contains 43 of Ms Minogue s greatest songs, both past and present. The first CD, Disc 1, contains the older Kylie material from her Stock, Aitken and Waterman era when she was at the peak of fame both for her singing and also for her Neighbours role. The CD contains fifteen of these tracks, mostly made up of her cheesy pop records like I Should Be So Lucky, Better The Devil You Know and The Locomotion. One Step Closer - S-Club Juniors ... pop group who I am sure that most people have put to the back of their memories! Yet, on reflection, this song is worth returning to. It serves as a reminder that pure pop can exist and entertain. Who are they? The group comprised a selection of boys and girls, who shared the vocals. I understand two or three of these girls are now in the group The Saturdays. They specialised in fun pop music, targetted at children and camp men.
