6363 Sunset - Elvis Presley

This particular Elvis CD was presented to me a s a gift after a very good friend of mine returned from the states. He had seen this CD in a small music store and thought of me (how kind). This CD offers a unique look into Elvis`s music as many of the tracks are alternative recordings that were originally only meant for the studio. The recordings were done in the Sun studios between 1972 and 1975 and although many of these tracks went on to be hits for the king they were rarely if ever heard in these formats. This CD from the specialist Elvis Presley record label FTD features a variety of alternate takes and mixes from studio sessions Elvis recording in 1972 and 1975. This period is pretty much my favourite of all the different periods in Elvis' recording history so this CD is an important one to me. There are a wonderful selection of songs on this CD. SEE SEE RIDER is brilliant and SHAKE A HAND is absolutely magic. I have always liked that song and the mix here is brilliant. FOOL is also really good.
