Master Of Puppets - Metallica ... there was ever an album which defined a genre of music this would be it. As potentially the greatest heavy metal album of all time, Master of Puppets, originally released in 1986, exceeds all expectations as every track on it is a masterpiece. The title track is widely regarded as one of the finest songs ever written, and the album contains some other absolutely fantastic tracks such as Battery and Damage Inc to name a few. The album also contains Metallica s finest instrumental, Orion which is widely regarded as one of Cliff Burton s finest works. Blur - Blur ... 1997 Blur decided to ditch their Britpop roots and grow into a creative and credible alternative rock band, something Oasis never decided to do. Allegedly on Graham Coxon s request Blur chased a lo-fi alternative rock resulting in the eponymously titled album. The most famous track from the album of course is Song 2. Probably better know by its refrain woo hoo . It s grungy and unmistakedly in the style of alternate rock band Pixies. Personally I think this should have been the opener instead of Beetlebum but then I suppose it wouldn t live up to it s title.... Ready For The Weekend - Calvin Harris ... have been meaning to download this album for quite some time now after hearing only the best about it from friends and other reviews so a few days ago I finally got round to doing it. And I am very glad I did because it will soon become an album I listen to all the time, the tracks are very upbeat and dancy so perfect if your getting ready for a night out and want something that will get you up and moving!
