Lara's venture into the English-language pop world has been questionable and perhaps even detrimental. The dollar-signed vision of the SONY executives and music creators (I say with full reservation) introduced Lara to that market with two formulaic and rather expressionless albums. ‘9’ is the new 2005 release from Lara Fabian and an album with a lot of meaning behind it. The title of the album comes from the nine past album releases from Lara but signifies Lara’s career coming full circle and this album is a new start and is certainly different from her previous releases. The album was released after her 2004 English album which didn’t receive much promotion and this album was quickly released. I have Lara’s two English albums from 2000 and 2004 as well as some of her live albums and studio albums but this album returns to Lara’s maternal language of French and also came with a bonus DVD.
