Taking The Long Way - Dixie Chicks: ... been a tough few years for the Dixie Chicks since the release of their third album, “Home”. Not long after it was released, singer Natalie Maines made comments against President Bush and the war in Iraq. As a result, people started burning their CDs, slinging insults at the group and threatening to boycott their records and gigs. As country fans turned their backs on the Dixie Chicks, they took a new musical ...

Andyp1985 News Of The World - Queen
... when you think Queen are producing the best music of their career they released this heap of trash. I am sad to say that this is one of Queen s much poorer albums. It starts off with two songs from the Greatest Hits, "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" these songs are quite good when comparing them to the rest of the album. "We Will Rock You" is a well established Queen song that was played live at many of their concert. It has a good guitar solo in the middle of it as well. "We are the Champions" is also very famous, played at many sports events when the team have won the game. This song has some good lyrics. Once t...

Andyp1985 A Day At The Races - Queen
... showed that they are a group that can produce more than the one or two good albums when they release this album. Looking at this album, Queen show light rock and heavy rock, and they sound great when playing both. This album is on par With A Night At the Opera, although there isn t a song on it that is quite as good as "Bohemian Rhapsody". "Tie Your Mother Down" is a great rock song which is many fans favourite, Queen play this song very well live too, in fact in most of their live concerts this song was featured, which is why most Queen fans will recognise this title. Brian May again demonstrates why he is regarded as one of the best guitar pla...

steerpyke Industrial Sound And Magic - Rev Hammer
... Hammer is a modern day minstrel, a permanently travelling troubadour. Raised on the sounds of Irish folk music, Delta blues, and Johnny Cash, Rev started singing at the age of eleven; Big Bad John at an agricultural show, and started wandering not too many years later. Fuelled by the sounds of his youth, and driven feverishly by the inspiration of The Clash, Rev took to the road in the early eighties, and has been gigging constantly ever since. He has performed at five Glastonbury Festivals, two Edinburgh Festivals, and the Voessa Jazz Festival in Norway. He has also toured with The Levellers, New Model Army, The Oysterband, Richard Thompson, Billy Bragg, and Hank W...
