Hurricane Relief: Come Together Now ... This album was released as a charity tribute album after the massive devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in August 2005. Over the years there have been many charity singles to raise money for a relief fund or just a charity single but there have not been as many full scale albums like this one. "Hurricane Relief: Come Together Now" is the title of a charity album which features a mix of new recordings and pre released tracks from artists who support the charity. The Very Best Of Power Ballads ... ballads are for men to drive home to after a day at the office aren t they? They can stick on Phil Collins or Chris Rea and belt out the words with no fear of their wives finding out that they like cheesy music. I don t have a wife, not do I drive round doing power ballads, but I don t mind a dose every once in a while. There are three CDs here comprising fifty songs for you to get powerful over. It starts with Queen. You can shoot me down now when I say I don t like Queen. Yes, Mercury has a stunning voice, but their music fails to grab me. Almighty: Ultimate Dance Party ... could be more thrilling than 150 minutes worth of camp high nrg disco pop anthems, spread over two CDs? Well I could think of numerous things actually, but the Almighty camp have proudly delivered this beast of an album full of covers and tracks to entice you into a party mood. All the songs have been crafted into megamixes, which means they blend in to each other is a seamless fashion. It starts with a nice weak version of the Degrees Of Motion song Do You Want It Right Now, succeeding in zapping all the energy from the original and reducing it to a bland cover.
