Vague - Nouvelle Vague Nouvelle Vague are a French collective who covered New Wave songs on this album, their singers are generally silky voiced latin women, who bring an entirely new element to the song, along with the easy listening brass and strings accompaniment. This is a great backing track for dinner parties or social gatherings and has a real charm and style to it bringing together a cool genre with an interesting style variant, its available on Amazon.co.uk for £14.98. King Of Fools - Delirious ... of Fools was Delirious? first album. It was released in 1998 and for this reason some of the tracks sound a bit dated. A fair bit of the backing is electronic and distorted. However the guitar and drums really carry through, and the vocals are extremely powerful. Listening to these songs in the background you could get quite a way through the album before realising this is a Christian band. However reading the lyrics there is a clear Christian message here. I wouldn t go so far as to say they will appeal to non-Christians anyway, however Delirious? do deliver a good mix of indie guitar thrashing alongside a Christian message. Barbra Streisand's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 - Barbra Streisand ... Radio 2 have been playing a fair amount of Barbra Streisand given the release of her new album "Love is the Answer". Produced by Diana Krall, Streisand interprets many classic old jazz songs including "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and "If You Go Away". And therein, for me at least, is the problem I have with Streisand these days - she is still a magnificent singer but her inability to do anything relevant in years has been something of a turn off for me as she has rested her laurels in the lucrative but bland MOR market.
