Forever Carpenters - Jenny Sinclair ... is Jenny Sinclair? The answer to that question is, it probably doesn t matter. All you need to know is that you are getting an album full of Carpenters cover versions by Jenny. There are ten covers and then on disc two we get a nine track megamix of the same stuff, only in a slightly different order. Only Yesterday has a cheerful backing beat, but the vocals leave a lot to be desired. It appears Jenny is just going through the motions and sings with all the grace of a dead woodlouse. Time To Say Goodbye ... seen this CD advertised on the TV several times and the tracks which were featured made it sound really good. I was not prepared to pay the full price for it though so wanted until it came down a few pounds. The CD is a double one and has 40 tracks, 20 on each disk. I am not going to give my opinion of each individual song as it would make this review go on for far too long. The track lists are as follows:- Disk 1 1. Story Of A Heart - Benny Andersson Band (ABBA) ... few weeks ago I heard an Abba-esque song on the radio and was intrigued to learn it was performed by the Benny Andersson Band (known as Benny Andersson Orkester in Sweden) and the song, "Story of a Heart", was written by Andersson and his long time songwriting partner and former Abba bandmate, Bjorn Ulvaeus.
