... a film synopsis read my other review. I got the soundtrack the day after I saw the film cos I just thought the music was excelent. It s a two disc CD with all of the songs from the movie dreamgirls . The Best Disney Album In The World...ever! - Soundtrack ... me, the songs and music often make the difference between a good film and a magical film, and this is where Disney is so strong; they not only produce amazing stories, but also beautiful music to accompany them, which make their films so enchanting and timeless. I received this CD for Christmas last year (I had bought the very same one for my Disney-mad friend and had lamented not having a copy myself, which my mum obviously picked up on!), and it was such a fantastic gift! I love it, mainly because it is such a complete collection of Disney songs from early films such as Snow White, up to recent ones such as Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as songs from films s... Blade Runner - Vangelis - Soundtrack ... any doubt in my mind or any question, if there is one film that is my overall favourite of all time then it simply has to be Blade Runner. The Definitive Edition released recently on DVD had no less than 5 different versions of the film included, as well as heaps of bonus features and is one of my most prized possessions. The Commitments - Soundtrack ... soundtrack from the film of the 1987 Roddy Doyle book. As the cynic inside me protests that there is some severe milking going on here, the voice of reason waggles a cautionary finger. It argues that the film was fundamentally based around music - soul music to be precise- and the actors used were chosen for their competency as musicians ahead of their Thespian leanings. So let us snap on a rubber glove, squeeze the teat of the Commitments cow and see if the music stands alone, proud and redolent, at peace with itself as a true entity of entertainment.
