Delhi 6 - A. R. Rahman ... A.R.Rahman means gold! Winner of 2 oscars for his Slumdog Millionaire score, Rahman had 5 releases last year and I have to say that each of those albums were better than Slumdog s score! The lyricist Prasoon Joshi also belongs to the writing team of the film and is able to write the songs from the perspective of the characters. This is extremely helpful since director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra uses songs to take the story forward and makes it an integral part of his storytelling. Of course Shakira earns respect for trying new genres, but the sound and video were both embarrassing. If you were also put off by She Wolf, I urge you to give the album a chance. There is nothing else like She Wolf on the record. If you want another She Wolf, you will not find it here. Shakira has been sporting a sassy, sexy diva like image right now, and her willingness to do something new shows itself in her music. The album is very versatile. She Wolf - Shakira ... WOLF is the title of South American pop star SHAKIRA s album. The album features 10 tracks which I will review. The opening song is SHE WOLF which is a fast paced dance number. Shakira s husky vocals are very bouncy and the song uses lots of wolf noises. The chorus is memorable and very energetic. DID IT AGAIN is sung with lots of vigour and the beat is funky with quick paced melodies. The chorus is catchy while the lyrics are decent. LONG TIME has a lacklustre intro though comes to life when Shakira s strong vocals enter. The lyrics tell a good story while the beat of the song is quick.
